Terms of Service

Welcome to TuitionHub. These terms govern your use of the TuitionHub web application ("the Service"), operated by TuitionHub ("we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. What TuitionHub is

TuitionHub is a tool for solo tuition instructors in Sri Lanka to manage their batches, student rosters, attendance, and monthly fee collection. It is instructor-facing only — students do not have accounts, and we do not contact students on your behalf.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
  • One account per instructor. Don't share logins.

3. Pricing

  • Free: up to 15 students total (across all batches), all core features.
  • Paid: LKR 10 per active student per month, with a LKR 200 monthly minimum. "Active" means a student with attendance or payment activity in the trailing 30 days.
  • Payment is by bank transfer. After a transfer, message us on WhatsApp with the reference — we record the payment against your account within a few hours.
  • Billing is month-to-month. Stop paying and your account returns to the free tier (capped at 15 students); your existing data stays intact.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Student data. You represent that you have authority to enter your students' contact details into TuitionHub and that you use that data solely to operate your tuition classes.
  • You will not use TuitionHub to harass students, send spam, or store information unrelated to running your classes.
  • Fees. TuitionHub only records that a payment was made between you and your student. We never collect, hold, or process tuition fees on your behalf. That transaction is strictly between you and your student.

5. What we provide

  • We aim to keep the Service available during peak tuition hours (weekdays 3pm–9pm, weekends 8am–6pm Sri Lanka time). No formal uptime SLA during the beta.
  • The Service is provided "as is", without warranty.
  • You use the Service at your own risk.

6. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in harmful behaviour.
  • On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including lost students, missed payments, or reputation harm — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us during that period (zero if you're on the free tier).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Colombo.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
